Greetings from Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls, Canada. We’re excited to announce our preparations for the upcoming solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th, 2024. To manage the anticipated influx of visitors, we will be implementing a capacity limit in our indoor/outdoor observatory. This measure is aimed at ensuring a comfortable viewing experience for all our guests.

Observatory

During the eclipse’s peak hours, from 2pm to 4pm, access to the Observatory will be reserved exclusively for those holding a “VIP” ticket. Please note that VIP passes are now completely sold out.

Dining

We look forward to welcoming you to our Revolving Dining Room for your upcoming dining reservation on April 8, 2024.

To ensure the best dining experience, all guests are kindly requested to acquire their solar eclipse glasses from either our gift store or directly from the restaurant before seating.

Kindly note, that seating is limited to 90 minutes, and we will not be able to accommodate late arrivals.

Should you need to make any changes to your existing reservation, please contact the restaurant at 1-800-410-4232.

Dining guests arriving at 11:30 am, as well as from 4pm onwards on the day of the eclipse, will not require a ‘VIP’ pass to access the Observatory.

After enjoying your meal, dining guests are welcome to visit the observatory until 1:30 and from 4pm until closing time on April 8th, 2024. Please be aware that from 2pm to 4pm, the Observatory will be reserved exclusively for VIPs.

We are anticipating a high volume of visitors in the Niagara region due to the number of guests travelling to the area to view the solar eclipse on this date.

The City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Parks Police Service have implemented road closures that may impact your access to Skylon Tower, so plan and adjust accordingly.

Murray Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Fallsview Boulevard to the Niagara Parkway beginning at noon until midnight on April 8, 2024.

Robinson Street will be accessible; however, we encourage guests to plan for traffic delays and congestion due to these road closures. 

Eclipse Glasses

Get ready for the solar eclipse with eclipse glasses available at the Skylon Tower! You can find them for sale in parking lots A & B, Starbucks, our gift store, and the Revolving Restaurant. While supplies last!

If you’ve purchased VIP Observation Deck tickets, Eclipse glasses are included with your admission.

Rest assured, our glasses are ISO-certified for safe solar eclipse viewing.
